We have been working on a new website since the first of the year.  You will be able to see the new fabrics, patterns, books and notions that we get into the store.  There will be pictures of the classes we are offering, we will have samples for sale and links to places in which we think you'll be interested.  We will be linked to Facebook and I have a blog that I plan to update more than once a year.  I am very excited about this and I hope that it helps you to see what we are doing and all the new items we have coming in all the time along with the classes we have to offer.  Check us out at www.harborquilt.com soon.

May 4th is Kentucky Derby Day and we plan to celebrate this year with some races of our own.  Have you heard of the 1600 Quilt?  We want to have our own 1600 quilt race and what better day to have them than on Kentucky Derby Day where we can cheer on the contestants in our favorite race day hat with some bubbly, some strawberries and cream and a bit of silliness.  There will be 3 heats you can enter.  Enter one, two or all three.  Our only requirement is that you purchase your fabric strips from Harbor Quilt.  You will need a set of strips for each heat you enter.  That's 40 - 2-1/2" strips sewn together like binding strips.  There will be prizes for the heat winners and the over all winner will be crowned Harbor Quilt's Queen Stripper.  Join us for fun, laughs and goodies by signing up as a contestant or come to cheer on your friends.  Click on READ MORE for list of classes!

Harbor Quilt, inc has been in business since April of 1999. Established in a small house like building for 8 years, it is now located in the beautiful historic downtown of Gig Harbor, Washington. We are 2,200 sq. ft. with 1,500 – 2000 bolts of fabric from Moda, Hoffman, Northcott, Clothworks, In The Beginning, Westminster and Freespirit. Bright, modern lines are our focus along with a nice collection of batiks. We carry some cut goods along with cutting our own 2-1/2″ strips and 5″ squares. Most of the kits we carry are of our own design using the many lines of fabric we have in stock. The staff is friendly and is willing to help you with your needs.
